Mink Moving to New Home in Canada
About 6800 mink traveled via a CN Express car toward Whitbourne Newfoundland to join a mink farming center. The carrier breeder Ormond Francis moved the animals from Rouleau Saskatchewan valued at $30,000. Newfoundland’s whale meat abundance is cited as the reason for mink fur demand. The UNR has relocated several thousand mink from prairie regions in two years.
