Ladies Legion Notes from October Grand Others Meeting
On October 24 the Ladies Auxiliary to the Canadian Legion held their Annual Grand Others meeting with 32 members present plus Mrs. Bartlett Brandon district representative and two visiting auxiliaries from Rapid City and Shoal Lake bringing 22 visitors. Plans called for selling pec pies for Remembrance Day with donations to St John Ambulance. The group catered Foresters turkey supper and hosted Neenawa at the Silaah of business. Entertainment included slides by Mrs. Hudson and vocal selections by Mrs. Freda Anderson with Mrs. Rungsby. Shoal Lake and Hamiota auxiliaries contributed items. Mrs. Marks organized grandma gift contests, Bartlett received a gift, Mr. Scott showed a film, and Mrs. B Brooks delivered two readings before a luncheon.
