Oak River ratepayers vote on new municipal office and firehall
At a October 11 meeting in the Oak River Rink hall Reeve W English presided over about 75 to 80 ratepayers. A secret ballot chosen by Mark Gill and Don Graham set 50 votes for building a new office and firehall and 32 for renovating the existing building.

Shiloh Church Pot Luck and Plans for Winter Services
Shiloh church held its annual pot luck supper on October 19 followed by a business meeting with financial statements and plans to keep the church orderly. A ramp is being built for accessibility, and Sunday services and Sunday School will continue this winter at 9 30.
