Fowl supper draws 300 plus with Pride and Prejudice screening

Cardale church hosted a fowl supper Tuesday night attended by more than 300 people. A showing of Pride and Prejudice followed the meal. Local updates note seed fair participation, visits, and hospital stays among residents.

Woman's Aid Holds District Hospital Meeting

The Woman's Aid to the Hainiota District Hospital No 7A met Friday October 30 with President Mrs. W B Strachan presiding. thirteen districts were represented and reported collecting fruit vegetables pickles and jelly for the hospital. A nominating committee was formed to select incoming officers. McConnell ladies handled this month s mending and the meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
