Ottawa defers RRSP limits as 1990 rules stay in place
Michael Wilson defers planned RRSP tax changes for a year keeping 1990 contribution limits at 7 500 from 1986 and delaying new 1991 limits to 18 percent of earned income less pension adjustments. Reporting of pension adjustments begins 1991 with carry forward of unused room from 1991. Indexation starts 1995 for employer plans and 1996 for RRSPs.
