Manitoba government hikes doctor fees in 1998
The Manitoba government plans about 7 million dollars to raise physician pay including a new 20 percent fee for visits by family practitioners and pediatricians. An after hours 30 percent premium on urgent services and a palliative care counselling fee are also introduced. Total cost rises with increased obstetric and prenatal visit fees and deliveries funding.
