Man charged after threats toward students in Birtle incident
Shoal Lake RCMP arrested a 21 year old man near the Birtle Hotel after he threatened three Birtle High School students during noon hour on May 11. He faced charges of assault uttering threats resisting arrest and causing a disturbance. Mentuck pleaded guilty to uttering threats and resisting arrest receiving 180 days in custody and two years probation and a lifetime firearms ban.
