MRHA authorizes computer upgrade at Hamiota Health
The Mar quette Regional Health Authority Board met April 29 with 13 members. It approved by laws for Hamiota Health Centre and Riverdale Health Services District Women's Auxiliary and accepted resignations from Pam Stacy and Leonard Saunders on the District Health Advisory Council. The CEO was authorized to negotiate purchase of an upgraded computer system for Hamiota Health Centre to enhance network access and email to the Regional office. The board discussed architect selection for capital projects and will interview firms for East View Lodge with recommendations forthcoming. Monitoring reports EL-3 EL-4 and EL-6 were approved. An Aboriginal Health Advisory Council was discussed with Sandra Shingoe added to assist. The region received approvals to repair Birtle Health Centre roof, proceed with tendering for Shoal Lake Strathclair project and Neepawa Hospital roof, and announced Carberry Hospital and East View Lodge replacements at Neepawa. A meeting between the Russell Health Action Committee MRHA staff and the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation discussed chemo therapy site locations.
