Village Council Hamiota Greenlights Zoning Move and Contracts
Hamiota Village Council met April 3 1997 approving joining the Upper Assiniboine Conservation District and passing By law 297 planning scheme amendments. The CAO was told to invite Gregorys Land and Gravel and Countryside Trenching for the next meeting to discuss digging and write a letter to a former employee about operating procedures. The office will close April 21 to 23 for a municipal conference. Council appointed Al Robertson to the Hamiota Economic Development Corp and gave second and third readings to By law 1/97 amending By law 3/96. Countryside Trenching quotes for backhoe work and Gregorys Sand and Gravel for land supply were accepted with no guaranteed full workload. Cpl Kevin Harrison delivered the March policing report and shrubbery permit work along PTH 21 was approved. Donation of 200 to the Hamiota 2000 committee was defeated.
