Manitoba trial tests gasoline-eating bacteria in Carberry
Two Manitoba firms Wardrop Engineering and Bio-Solutions Systems conduct a 40750 demonstration at Main Street and First Avenue to test a faster cheaper cleanup method for contaminated soil and water. The project is funded by 15000 from Manitoba's Environmental Industries Development Initiative with remaining costs covered by Federated Insurance. Minister James Downey says the project could yield groundwater purification a year earlier than expected for Carberry.
