Regulations state the father must register a birth with the Municipal Clerk within ten days, with the mother or guardian stepping in if needed. Deaths require a medical certificate of cause, then a burial permit from the Municipal Clerk. if distance or absence prevents clerk visits, a clergyman may register with the burial permit.
The officer or municipality must be notified immediately and will issue a certificate of cause of death. No burial may occur without a doctor's certificate of cause of death. Penalty for failure to register a death ranges from 5 to 25 dollars plus costs.

Provision outlines who may claim a quarter section of Dominion land in Manitoba Saskatchewan or Alberta with in person registration at the Dominion Lands Agency. Conditions include residency six months yearly for six years and farm ownership or occupancy by a family member. The option of pre emption or purchased homestead with price one dollar per acre and residency requirements is noted.
J. H. Hoock will ship begs on Monday next and urges those wishing to ship to have stock in ear. Mrs R. E. Hanter visits her parents in Souris for a few weeks. The Misses Cochran Sproat and Hoock left for Winniper for a tenwers convention. FE Van Normen departed for Hartney to join the Sal zav ee Co where she had accepted a position.
