Manitoba backs national plan to curb packaging waste
Manitoba to contribute 8400 to the National Packaging Protocol by the CCME to reduce packaging in consumer goods. The plan aims to cut solid waste by half by 2000, with cross‑country cooperation and consultations with industry and environmental groups. The CCME moves its headquarters to Manitoba in 1990.
