Hamiota Men’s Bonspiel crown awarded to Sheridan foursome
The 1990 Hamiota Men’s Curling Club Open Bonspiel concluded March 4 after a week of 20 day and 20 night rounds. Alan Sheridan, Darwin Madill, Ron McInnes, and Malcolm Klym won the Campbell Flowers Trophy for an unblemished record. Prizes in five events went to curlers from Hamiota Rivers Oak River Minnedosa Shoal Lake and Miniota with top honors to Alan Sheridan and teammates.

Inservice Day Updates At Birdtail River School Division

Rehearsals are underway for Kenton’s 1990 show titled According To Disney featuring Mickey Mouse Mary Poppins or the Seven Dwarfs. Three jobs bound for Hamiota in decentralization push
Manitoba will relocate three public sector jobs to Hamiota as part of a broader move to shift 692 government positions from Winnipeg. Agriculture Minister Glen Findlay says moving a Manitoba Hydro customer service post and two from the Association for a Clean Rural Environment aims to boost the rural economy and improve service delivery.
