Obituary of Mrs Snider Pioneer Settler in Shoal Lake

Mrs Snider one of the early western settlers died at her daughter Mrs Allan Eby home after a yearlong illness. She lived with Mrs Eby for two months and her remains were taken to Shoal Lake for interment after a funeral held Wednesday. She came to Manitoba in 1869 and settled in Shoal Lake. she was sixty and survived by a husband and grown children.

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wright died suddenly at the Hamiota House last Monday morning. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Hamiota cemetery.

A weekend blaze near Rapid City killed three Willis children while parents were away at the barnyard. The oldest, three, likely started the fire. the youngest was an infant. The mother found the house engulfed and could not rescue the children.
