Walter C. Weir is appointed vice-chairman of Manitoba Public Utilities Board effective March 8. The former Manitoba premier and Minnedosa resident will retain his business interests while serving, and brings decades of public service to regulate gas, water, sewer, and Manitoba Telephone System rates.
