The Assessment Roll of the Shore Municipality is deposited with the Clerk on December 12. It remains open for inspection to April 1. Anyone wishing to complain must file with the Clerk ten days before the Court of Revision meeting. The Council will act as Court of Revision at City Council Chamber on April 30 10914 at 2 PM to hear complaints.
A Hamieta Consolidated School District meeting in McConnell's Hall drew about fifty ratepayers. John Murray outlined the budget and debentures for a new village school, while Andrew of Chumah and Dr. Hudson argued for and against consolidation, highlighting costs, routes, and educational merits.
Inspector Morrison argues that consolidation offers progress over the current system as attendance rises among country and town pupils. He warns moral concerns favor the town, cites poor rural school buildings, and urges a consolidated village school in Hamiota this coming summer, a motion carried by a strong majority.
