Village of Hamiota adopts linking concept for Virden to Carberry area
The February 7 1996 Hamiota council meeting heard RCMP report that a linking concept will merge the Virden to Carberry area into one district with July as the start. Sgt Poole said policing remains community oriented. Council approved meal reimbursement rules and planned actions include contacting the Crown Attorney, grant applications, MAUM convention positions, 911 information, dog licence letter, and staff access to new offices with staff keys restricted. Daily council indemnity rises to 70 dollars effective February 1 1996 and 24 pins were donated to the High School Hockey Tournament.
