The Hamiota Pentecostal Church conducted its annual congregational meeting on February 6 1988 at 1 30 pm with Pastor Pierce leading devotion from Galatians 6 1 10 and I Corinthians 3 6 11. Officers for 1988 were elected including Irwin Lennox as board member Mildred Ulrich as Sunday School Superintendent Leona Beamish as Assistant Superintendent Glen Sunley as District Conference Delegate Lola Currah as Alternate Delegate Carman Ulrich as Head Usher and Wanda Lennox as Music Director. An installation service followed on February 14 with prayers for the new appointees.
Beulah notes feature Grainger visit to Boissevain on February 19 with Lynda and Doug Pettypiece and Todd Latimer, a Melita stop to see Eva Kirkup, and well wishes for Wilma Sterling after surgery. Greg and Joanna Cloake travel to Calgary for the Winter Games, visit Lake Louise for downhill skiing, and observe weather and crowds. Leila Darker and Don Green join Don and Ann Green on an ice fishing trip at Kenton Dam. Graham Hodgson and others visit grandparents due to a school bus issue. Margaret, injured left wrist, sends quick recovery wishes.
