University of Manitoba Holds 110th Convocation
Winnipeg reports the University of Manitoba conferred degrees diplomas and certificates at its 110th Convocation during the last week of May. Over 2800 graduates participated in five sessions four at the Bison Building Fort Garry Campus and one at St Boniface College affiliated with the university.

First Market a Success in Hamiota
A very successful first Farmers Market was held last Friday June 23 with eleven vendors and over 1300 dollars in goods sold during the three hours 9:00 a.m. to noon. Dale Willard of the Cooperative Development Board of Manitoba attended from Winnipeg and praised the event. Vendors expect more booths as summer brings produce and traffic to Hamiota’s business district. Next markets are planned Fridays for the rest of the season.
