Botulism outbreak at Whitewater Lake expands
A District Natural Resources report led by Larry Ross describes botulism spreading at Whitewater Lake. About 750 waterfowl have been collected this spring, with roughly half believed dead this year and half from last fall. A joint effort by Natural Resources Environment Canada and Ducks Unlimited monitors and collects dead birds to curb spread.
