Sneaker Day draws fundraisers and Spacewalk progress in 1990
On a windy day thirty nine walkers attended Sneaker Day at the Drop-In and entered a Trip-for-two to Canada Fitness. Prizes included Coca Cola and Old Dutch products with donations from Royal Bank and patrons. Spacewalk 2000 totals show 321 miles from May 25 to June 3 with hopes to double participation next year. A Health Fair on May 28 featured speakers on burglary prevention money management and nutrition. A Lawn Bowling/Bocce planning meeting formed an organizing committee and new equipment purchases were noted. Golf and Foot Care services continue with Mae Dalton offering in town visits.
