Tender accepted for Blanshard rental and housing project support

The R M of Blanshard council met May 24 to pass the 1994 tax levy by law, approve a lease for NW 1/4 1-14-22W at 18.00 per acre, and discuss waste management with Poetker MacLaren Ltd to prepare a site design and operating plan. They donated land for Oak Dale Senior Housing, planned a recycling depot, and set a Small Claims Hearing for an unauthorized bush incident.

Hamiota RM Council opposes regional landfill plan

The RM of Hamiota council met April 15 with Reeve Ray Lints chairing. They rejected a regional landfill within Hamiota boundaries and approved bills totaling 135,917.31 for January to March. Other actions include lighting changes for Manitoba Hydro in Decker, ambulance grant application, cemetery maintenance quotes, and passage of four by laws in first to third readings.
