Editor's letterbox asks church to reflect on autonomy
The letter disputes the Division of Mission in Canada stance against the free trade deal and calls for democratic consultation of Canadians. It questions United Church governance, urges focus on religious duties over political aims, and warns of reconsidering contributions if the hierarchy remains all things to all people. Signed by John L. Rankin.
