Rolling River Board Meeting Extends Gilleshammer Leave
The Rolling River School Division meets on May 19 1988 and extends Harold Gilleshammer’s leave of absence from one year to four years without pay. He may return if a vacancy and qualification exist. Part time duties at Minnedosa Collegiate focus on History 100, with other Vocational programs expanded to Sandy Lake Erickson Rapid City Elton Collegiate Minnedosa and Rivers from fall 1988. The board approves 1988 89 calendar and new policy standards for Examinations and Attendance and requests funding to enlarge Rapid City School facilities for a multiple handicapped student.

Health Centre News Volunteer Day at Birch Lodge
On May 6 1988 Health Centre marked Volunteer Day in Birch Lodge inviting thirty volunteers who contribute through crafts clinics meals and other duties. They watched Prairie Women on a large screen and received fridge magnets reading Volunteers are Special. Marlene Andrew thanked the volunteers and Inza Houck organized the event followed by a staff lunch.
