Heavy construction vehicles will frequent Highway 21 north of Hamiota as Borland Construction paves a seven kilometer section. Earthwork to widen the road is sub contracted to Russell Redi-Mix and the project aims for completion by the end of July.
The Hamiota District Health Centre will officially open its new palliative care suite named Hudson Suite and a chemotherapy unit with a ribbon cutting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday June 17. The event follows late 1999 entrance renovations and February updates, with Dr. Kristianson and RN Sharon Armitage prepared to treat Satellite Community Cancer Program patients soon.
