Hamiota forms Community Advisory Committee for waste site search
The Rural Municipality of Hamiota and Village of Hamiota with the Hamiota Economic Development Committee establish a twelve member Community Advisory Committee to work with Manitoba Hazardous Waste Management Corporation in setting criteria for a potential Waste Management Facility. The group plans open meetings, public access to information, and a local office in the Hamiota Library Building to inform residents and gather input. Public meetings are scheduled and nominations for leadership are noted.
