Photo radar labeling wrong says editor in BC column
Dear Editor: Brian Kelcey’s Manitoba Taxpayer Association column misstates photo radar revenue. Since 1997 BC issued about 150000 tickets earning a fraction of his claimed windfall. Photo radar is shown to save lives, reduce injuries, and cut crashes, with potential annual savings and lower insurance costs for motorists. Brian Geary of ICBC notes BC plans to expand red light cameras.
