Highlander Aqua Farms eyes Canadian Tilapia venture
A new Strathclair area fish farm, Highlander Aqua Farms, seeks investors for a 500 000 to 600 000 dollar project. Norm Morrison leads the plan to build three 32 by 32 ft tanks, ramping to 24 000 fingerlings monthly, with market via the Dakota Aquaculture Cooperative. Investments of 50 000 to 200 000 dollars offered as five year loans at 10 percent or preferred shares.
