Brandon jail inmates gift equipment to hospital in Brandon
Brandon General Hospital receives about 1200 worth pediatric ward equipment donated by Brandon Correctional Institution residents from the welfare fund. A crib dome a playpen and two mounting poles were bought after hospital suggestions. Minister Muriel Smith called it a generous community gesture reflecting residents compassion and responsibility. Superintendent Jim MacDonald noted high community involvement by residents and the program’s role in building self esteem and ties to Brandon.

HAMIOTA legion marks centennial with a Sunday July 8 ceremony led by RCMP Constable Brian Cronkite and parade from the clinic lot to the Cenotaph. Harvey Pollock was parade marshal. Rev.
