Durban Pool elevator destroyed by lightning blaze
The Swan River grain elevator, housing about 1800 tonnes of grain, burned after a lightning strike on June 15. Firefighters from Benito and Swan River contained the fire amid high winds and a nearby chemical shed was emptied for safety. A thundershower aided suppression and embers were tamed.
