MP Marlene Cowling meets Hamiota officials on summer tour

The Member of Parliament for Dauphin-Swan River, Marlene Cowling, and assistant Shelley Cori met Hamiota village and RM councils in a casual session July 11 to discuss rail subsidies farm programs and local concerns. Cowling pledged to relay issues to Ottawa and promote Internet access through the Community Access Program.

Hamiota Fair Day Highlights Community Spirit and Plans

The Hamiota Ag Society prepares for its 103rd annual Summer Fair on Thursday July 20 with a pancake breakfast parade at 9 00 a m and family events including horse and cattle shows displays midway and sports. The Moon Manitoba 125th theme features a 2nd annual window decorating contest with a $50 prize. The Hamiota Museum opens at the fairground with renewed exhibits and two new displays.
