80th Birthday Celebrated for Bell at Park Residence

Bell’s 80th birthday was celebrated with 85 guests signing the book at Park Residence Hamiota. Merle Gammack and Martha Brethour attended, Olive pinned the rose corsage, and friends Mabel Wright and Hazel Ryan greeted attendees. A decorated cake, flowers, a tea and lunch followed, hosted by committee members Wilma Nichol, Mabel Wright, Marion Hunter, Joyce Knight, Mary Thompson, Eloise Hyndman, Olive Newton, and Inza Pollock. Rev Dawn Ballantine-Dickson opened the tea and delivered greetings.

World Tour set to go on Folklorama bus trip

Seniors from Hamiota Miniota Birtle and St Lazare are invited to Canada’s World Tour via a Winnipeg Folklorama trip. Western Daze a success in Hamiota

Hamiota hosts Western Daze on Friday June 22 with a successful Farmers Market Pancake Breakfast by the Hamiota Men’s Curling Club raising 258 dollars for the Hamiota and District Sports Complex. Open House attracted 200 plus visitors with a 100 plus donation box. Western Nite Dinner and Dance yielded a 350 dollar profit. Evelyn Saban won the Chicken Calling Contest. Looney Lotto June draw awarded 153 dollars to Ev ellan.
