Graduation, beef club feats, and summer plans in Miniota
Brent Lelond of Birtle Collegiate graduates as the Leland family earns top awards at the Miniota Beef Club show in Miniota Rink. Brent’s steer wins Grand Champion while Andrew Leland is Reserve Champion. Ryan earns a Showmanship trophy. Andrew and others join a July to August Exchange through Connection Canada with hosts in Manitoba and diverse sight-seeing tours. Fundraising supports transportation plus Beatrice drinks and supplies. A slow pitch barbecue and dance raised funds for Arrow River Community Centre with 112 meals served and music by Mixed Emotions.
