Hamiota Auxiliary Meeting Notes January 1986
Hamiota District Health Centre Auxiliary met January 24 with 11 districts represented. Pauline Campbell chaired, Betty Oakden secretary. Treasurer Grace Anderson reported income of 2384.43 and total expenses 10801.76 including hospital beds and nursing loans. Attendance recorded 147 visits to 42 clients by 13 workers, 302 hours. Events include Birch Lodge party and March hospital guild. Plans for charity teas, Measles clinic, and future health education sessions outlined. Next meeting February 28 at 2:00 pm.

Penner Re-elected KAP President at Winnipeg Delegates Meet
Jack Penner of Halbstadt Manitoba was re-elected president of the Keystone Agricultural Producers Inc during the 2nd annual delegates meeting in Winnipeg January 15 17 1986. Earl Geddes Pilot Mound and Cam Henry Oak River were named 1st and 2nd vice presidents. several others from across districts were chosen to serve on the executive for the year and four additional farmers join the executive representing 13 group members.

Hamiota Hosts Four Westman Winter Games Events
Hamiota to host a packed weekend with 1986 Westman Winter Games regional competitions at the arena curling club and Collegiate auditorium. Opening ceremonies, 16 games across two days, plus six Senior Mixed foursomes curling and eight Co ed volleyball teams. Events feature clubs from Brandon Rivers Hamiota and other towns with scheduled starts Saturday and Sunday.
