Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic at Hamiota February 9
The Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service announces the annual donor clinic on Wednesday February 9 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hamiota Elementary School. It explains donor eligibility ages 17 to 66, parental consent changes for 17-year-olds, and donation frequency and volume. Blood transfusions are provided without charge in Canada with government support and donors.

Kenton U.C.W. met December 9 1982 at Mrs Bettie Hames home with Joyce Johnson reading a poem Gates & Doors Hilda Curry presided. Eighteen members and five visitors attended the Christmas meeting. donations were approved to the choir and to St Andrews College and P.C.T.C. A Life Membership pin was awarded to Helen Finnie. A January 13 1983 meeting date was set and a New Year Litany worship service performed.

McConnell 4-H Beef Club Plans Bonspiel and Rallies
The McConnell 4-H Beef Club met January 11 at Russel Wiltsey's home to plan a 4-H bonspiel set for February 26 at Cardale Rink starting 9 30 a.m. Twelve rinks invited. Margaret Boyd reported on a District Council Meeting Rally in Shoal Lake area on the last Saturday in May. Tickets on sale with prizes 40 and 20 dollars. Next meeting at Don Hawkin's on February 8. Lunch served by Mrs Wiltsey.
