World Happenings In Pictures Fashion Show at Palm Springs
Palm Springs Calif hosts a fashion feature titled Ville d Este showing 101 men with trousers and short jackets. The design uses black cotton with embossed stitching on cardigan collar and sleeve cuffs and hides pockets, presenting a trend toward shorter sleeves and cuts. Inventions include Sten Norling of Stockholm with a furnace flue detector using an electronic finder that locates hidden metal by reflected signals, awarded a gold medal at the Paris Inventors Show.
