Hydro power comes to Herb Lake Landing milestone switch
The northern community of Herb Lake Landing received hydro electric power after a Dec 21 switch throwing ceremony. Forty six commercial and residential buildings now have stable power replacing individual generators and propane appliances. Located on the east shore of Wekusko Lake about 200 kilometres north of The Pas, the settlement grew from a gold mining trail landing serving several mines closed in the 1950s.

BRSD accepts resignations and hires at Jan 13 meeting
