Fire damages rural Hamiota family home
Darryl and Joanne Boyd’s home between Hamiota and Shoal Lake was struck by fire on Saturday January 22. Fire crews from Hamiota, Shoal Lake, Decker Colony and nearby neighbors fought the blaze for over three hours, the house left badly damaged. Police say the fire likely started in a wood stove in the basement and investigators with insurers are examining the scene.
