The Birdtail River School Division No. held a board meeting at Shoal Lake on January 12 1967 at 8 PM with Trustees Rankin Stimpson Fulton Clark Rapley ell Selby and Inspector nk. Motions approved minutes and correspondence and set the next meeting for January 16 1967 at Shoal Lake with a transport payment to Frank Jeczy and steps for building expansion at Hamiota and Birtle. The board also planned talks with Pelly Trail and Rolling River Divisions on boundary changes to establish a northeast high school and formed a committee led by Rankin Randell Fulton for a Project Committee submission.

Funeral for Floretta Merle Scott Held in McConnell United Church
Funeral services were conducted Friday January 20 at the McConnell United Church for Floretta Merle Scott 60 who died January 17. She lived her life in McConnell farming with James Scott since 1931 and was active in community and sports. Survived by husband Jim six children seven grandchildren two brothers and many relatives. Pallbearers and flower bearers named.

4-H Pony Club Meets for Fourth Time at Dr Hudson Farm
The Hamio ta Tossing Manes Pony Club held its 4th meeting of the year at Dr Ed Hudson's farm on January 15. Three leaders and most members attended. New members learned horse parts and practiced English riding in the arena. A bon ser is planned later, and uniforms were discussed.
