Hazardous Waste Plant Tax Debate in Hamiota
Community group P C H A urges caution over a proposed Hazardous Waste Treatment Plant in Hamiota. They cite 1989 mill rates projecting taxes from 188400, while a M H W M Corp fact sheet shows 62800 to 90000, criticizing inflated figures. They warn the farm-based economy worth 66 million dollars and 16 million in farm revenue could be at risk if the plant affects agriculture and jobs of 25 to 35 workers.
