Obituary of Andy McBain Indicates Farming Life and Family
Andy McBain 75, of Hamiota, died January 3 1998 at Assiniboine Centre Brandon after brief illness. Born September 30 1922 in Hamiota he farmed with his family, served in the army, worked in mines then returned to run the farm and married Jean Rothnie in 1950. Survived by Delmar Doreen and Ron Lawrence Dale and Melody McBain five grandchildren and sister Louise Bilton and brother in law Sandy Rothnie. Funeral January 7 at Hamiota United Church with interment at Hamiota Cemetery. Donations to Hamiota District Health Centre Foundation or charity of choice.
