Community Birthday Celebrations and Local Curling News
Adam Lewis marked his second birthday with a noon gathering hosted by Terry and Sid Lewis, joined by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great uncle Perry Eastcott, and brother Nathan. Mildred Hazlewood’s birthday prompted a family get together by phone with relatives in multiple towns. Irene Kidd and son Bruce Kidd were remembered at a funeral in Brandon after a fatal house fire, with wide family attendance. Curling teams from the district competed at the Decker spiel, delivering solid results and hearty meals at the event, with locals eyeing upcoming Hamiota bonspiel and noting potential contenders Jim Mathison, Elmer Johns, Lloyd Hazlewood, and Rod Lewis.
