Miniota Council Sets Travel, Fees and Bids at Feb 16 Meeting
Special council meeting in Miniota on February 16 1981 approved delegation for attendance at events with expenses paid and set mileage rates for fire meetings. The council declined calcium chloride road treatment costs and announced a gravel screening and hauling tender for 10 000 yards. A March 16 meeting was scheduled. The Reeve was authorized to sign the Miniota Community Centre Sports Facilities 80 Claim form after inspection shows over half project costs paid.

Meet MINIOTA A meets at Parkissimo Lodge February 11
A MINIOTA A meeting at Parkissimo Lodge on February 11 at 2 p.m. included a speaker Mrs. Kawchuk of Virden on the International Year of Disabled Persons. Seven members and six visitors attended. Reading of Edith Radley’s letter, fund-raising for Red Cross and Cancer, and program booklets were planned. Tea hosted by several members followed adjournment.

Golden Age Group Meet in Miniota Community Centre
The Golden Age Club met February 18 at the Miniota Drop-in Centre with 27 members and 4 visitors. Jean Cook led the session as members enjoyed shuffleboard pool bridge whist and crokinole while tea, sandwiches and dainties were served. A March meeting will be hosted by the Wynona Ladies.
