Homecare covers 35 clients for 61 hours. recent purchases include a phototherapy unit, oxygen analyzer, staff lounge furnishings, two motorola pagers, and a store system for P.C.H. Ambulance First Responder Course started. Treasurer Grace Anderson reported 1 049.59 balance, Bonus Savings 20 387 20, Calculator 2 50. Blood Donor Clinic set for February 9 from 2 to 8 in the elementary auditorium. districts urged to promote it and recruit young donors aged 17 who weigh at least 110 pounds. Each district asked to provide 3 percent dozen cookies. Lennox Bell Lodge pamphlets distributed. Lodge rooms in Winnipeg offer near hospital for country folk.

Parkland Library Expands with Two New Municipal Members

Surprise Birthday Party for Jean Skinner at Oak River Church
A surprise party was held after a choir practice at Oak River Church on January 12 for Jean Skinner turning 80. Hosted by her daughters Dorothy Seater and Norma Wiltsey, the event included family members Les Skinner and others, with speeches from James Gilmour and Bill Peden, and a toast by her husband Herb. Granddaughters served cake and ice cream.

Energy Ideas program extended deadline to March 31 1983
Energy and Mines Minister Wilson Parasiuk announced the Small Scale Energy Ideas program deadline extended to March 31 1983. The Manitoba program encourages Manitobans to develop alternative energy sources and conservation methods. By December 31 the Manitoba Research Council Industrial Technology Centre had received 80 project applications and grant selection will begin shortly.
