The Oak River Curling Club schedules its fifth annual bon spiel for Tuesday February 20 with 8 30 am entry deadline. Prize categories include Grand Challenge Osbourne and C C Consolation with multiple items each such as marble clocks tea sets and silverware plus donated goods from local firms. A May serves as secretary.
Mr J H Stewart and Mr J Lief attend gas school at Brandon while Mr Walter Meakin returns from Rama Sask to find life unchanged. A pleasant evening at Mr H G Stone’s as adult Bible Class presents a mantle clock and address. Meeting forms Lavinia board of trade and seeks signatures for a new elevator to replace the failed one. E W McConnell elected president with A W Lief vice president and Thos Parkinson secretary.

Manitoba Agricultural College’s Coglan lectured on animal body requirements and fodder crop growth. Next week focuses on grain judging with wheat oats and barley samples and score cards for all attendees.
