UCW Meeting Notes From January Session

The UCW met January 8 with 14 ladies present. Mrs. Steen led with a reading and new year theme. Reports showed 1974 treasurer $599.21 and various committees planning hymn book repair and a July 60th wedding anniversary dinner.

Senior Citizens Meeting Held In Hamiota

New Horizons Directors met January 31 at Mrs Roy Kerr's home with all directors present. They voted funds for Wednesday gatherings including tables and cards, bingo prizes, wax for shuffleboard, bowls and jacks for the bowling club. Lights to be installed in washrooms when possible and suggestions for other recreational activities were welcomed.
