Manitoba Joins Reciprocal Vehicle Registration Pact
Winnipeg announced Manitoba will join the Canadian Agreement on Vehicle Registration effective April 1 1981. The plan bases interprovincial registration fees on total distance operated, promising cost savings and fleet flexibility, with Manitoba and six other provinces implementing April 1 1981 and three more later. Carriers may file combined applications for 1981 82 registration starting March 1 1981, with workshops held by the Motor Vehicle Branch and the Manitoba Trucking Association.

CSP Foods Names John Enns New Chief Executive Officer

CNIB to Sell Portage Avenue Properties in Winnipeg

Law Reform Commission Adds Two Members
Manitoba Attorney General announces two new appointees to the Law Reform Commission. Victor Rosenman of Brandon will replace the late Evan Littler on February 15 and David Trevor Anderson of Winnipeg will take Arnold Burton Bass’s seat on May 15. Anderson is a University of Manitoba Law Faculty professor on sabbatical. Rosenman is an assistant to a Brandon trustee in bankruptcy and former business and civic leader.

Lifeskills grant approved for Colonel Barker School program
Education Minister Keith Cosens announced a $5 239 grant to the Dauphin Ochre school division to fund special equipment for a lifeskills program at Colonel Barker School.
