Hamiota Gospel Chapel Holds Annual Meeting
The Hamiota Gospel Chapel held its annual congregational meeting on Monday February 1 at 1 p.m. Pastor J. R. Coughlan presided as nearly all members attended. Financial reports from the Sunday School, Women’s Missionary Council and the church showed a successful year. New resolutions were passed and officers elected for 1954.

Womens Aid to Hamleta District Hospital notes 1954 meeting
The Womens Aid to Hamleta District Hospital No 7A held its first meeting of 1954 on January 29 in the Rest Room with Vice President Mrs Smuttle presiding. Nine districts attended. plans include purchasing a resuscitator now on trial at the hospital. Allocations for each district were maintained as last year. The buying committee reported supplies received and Mrs Dixon presented a financial statement showing a very successful year. The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction. Bruce Cochran reports a hen egg measuring seven and a quarter inches across one way and nine inches the other. he owns the hen.
