Miniota Council plans contingency work for year 2000
The Rural Municipality of Miniota held a general meeting on November 10. Councillors discussed contingency plans for possible millennium bug issues on January 1, 2000. A variance hearing was granted under conditions. They will test water quality in Isabella, Miniota, Arrow River, and the Grainger well. Notices will go to residents about the Mid West Planning District report. Various appointments and meetings were approved, including attendance at UMM convention, emergency management course, and discussions on highway twinning, tree planting, and fire department funding. Recycling pamphlets will be mailed to ratepayers in February.
