Icy roads blamed for two vehicle collision near Hamiota
Police say freezing rain left gravel roads ice covered causing a crash at PA 355 and Highway 21 that sent three people to hospital. Joyce McWhirter 61 of Hamiota drove a Pontiac Grand Prix. Martin Finnie 16 of Kenton drove a Plymouth Reliant. passenger Ryan Goertzen 16 of Hamiota was injured. Seatbelts likely saved lives. The female driver was charged with imprudent driving.
